Use custom domain name easily by following this simple guide as I already done it and it is very simple to use custom domain name with your Blogger.com blog. However it depends on the registrar as some of them are a bit slow in associating your blog with custom domain name. The guide below shows you how to do so:
1. Create a new blog in Blogger.com It doesn't matter what is the name as we will not use it anyway.
2. Once finish, register a new domain name with your preferredextension such as .com, .net, .org, .info or .us extension. My favorite registrar isname.com as it is easy for me to set up my domain with my Blogger blog. You may want to search from search engine for coupon or promo code so you can purchase the domain name at discounted price. Make sure the Google Apps box is checked (if you buy domain name from Name.com) so that you so do not have to troubling yourself to configure DNS and other technical thingy.
3. Go back to Blogger.com dashboard and then go to Settings. Select Publishing tab and click on Custom Domain.
4. Then click to Switch to Advanced Settings. Type in the URL of domain name you already purchased. Then check No for the option Use a missing files host? and type in the word verification.
5. Finally click the Save Setting button to finish the process to use custom domain name in Blogger.com blog. Usually it not takes much time before everything is set up correctly.
